NSC DG urges coach Nabil to prepare Kanye for Paralympic Games
Director General of the National Sports Commission, NSC, Hon. Bukola Olopade has charged the coach of autistic cyclist, Kanyeyachukwu Tagbo-Okeke to prepare him for the next Paralympic Games.
The DG gave the charge when he visited the Ride For Autism team at their Dubai Hilltop Palace Hotel in Abeokuta Sunday.
While praising Kanye for his world record effort, Hon. Olopade told his coach, Garba Ibrahim Nabil to keep working on him because he hopes to see him represent Nigeria in the next Paralympic Games.
"You have done well training Kanye, you should keep working on him because I want to see him represent Nigeria at the next Paralympic Games", the DG stressed.
While congratulating Kanye who he now addresses as 'The Champ', the DG thanked his parents, Mr. Tagbo Okeke and Dr. Silvia Okeke for the effort they have put in to make him a world champion and commended them specially for the awareness campaign on autism.
He shook hands with all the cyclists who are supporting Kanye on the Ride For Autism tour as he pledged the support of the NSC to keep Kanye going and making Nigeria proud.
