3SC, Aweroro part ways on mutual consents

In an unexpected turn of event, the management of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan and its Technical Adviser, coach Nurudeen Aweroro have agreed to part ways mutually.

Coach Aweroro guided 3SC to their best placing, third place to qualify the team for the CAF Confederation Cup at the end of last season.

In a statement by the management of the Oluyole Warriors, coach Aweroro, the Team Manager as well as the Assistant Coach will no longer be in the employment of the team.

"We have reached a mutual agreement with Head Coach Nurudeen Aweroro, Team Manager Tammy Tamuno and Assistant Coach Shakiru Lawal to bring their respective contracts with the club to an end, with immediate effect.

"The decision follows discussions between the club and the affected members of the technical team, with both parties agreeing to part ways amicably."

The statement added that Shooting Stars "appreciate Nurudeen Aweroro, Tammy Tamuno and Shakiru Lawal for their commitment, professionalism and contributions to the club during their respective periods of service.

"The Club particularly acknowledges their efforts in helping Shooting Stars achieve a third-place finish in the 2025/26 NPFL season and secure a continental ticket.

"We thank them immensely for their service and wish them all the very best in their future endeavours and continued success in their careers," the statement reads.

In the interim, the other assistant coaches have been directed to take charge of the affairs of the Technical Department pending the appointment and announcement of a substantive head coach.
