GRASOF approves LOC for 3rd Senate President U-18 annual Unity Cup

The National President of the Grassroots Sports Federation (GRASOF), Hon. John Bassey Ekpenyong, has approved the composition of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the 3rd Edition of the Senate President Under-18 Annual Unity Cup 2026.

The tournament is scheduled to take place in Akwa Ibom State between October and November 2026, bringing together young football talents from different parts of Nigeria in a celebration of grassroots football development, youth empowerment and national unity.

The approved Local Organising Committee is constituted as follows:

The committee is charged with the responsibility of coordinating the local arrangements and supporting the successful delivery of the tournament, including logistics, venue preparations, protocol, administration, publicity, technical coordination and other essential aspects of the competition.

The constitution of the LOC represents a significant step in GRASOF’s preparations for the third edition of the prestigious youth football tournament, which seeks to use grassroots sports as a platform for talent discovery, youth development, peace, unity and national integration.

GRASOF is confident that the committee, under the leadership of Adede Kufre Inima, will work diligently with all relevant stakeholders to deliver a successful and memorable tournament in Akwa Ibom State.
