Crisis brew in NFF as factions clash over indiscriminate staff welfare

Aftermath of the recently concluded AFCON, crisis that may  rock the soul of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is brewing sequel to alleged discrimination in staff welfare and appointments, www.sportsunlimited scooped.

The feud which has been building silently came to the fore on their return from AFCON that two factions  loyal to the NFF President, Ibrahim Musa Gusau and the other to General Secretary of the Federation, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi grumbling over discrimination and favouritism 

 The scribe of the Federation, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, is allegedly accused of vindictiveness, favouritism and discrimination in his management style, a situation that is threatening to set the President and the General Secretary at loggerhead over exacting control of administering the office 

We gathered that staff are now divided into two groups, those whose employment to the organisation was facilitated by Dr. Sanusi, another set are the contract staff some of them  have retired but secretly offered contracts. 

There is now silent war among the staff and this many fear might rock the foundation of NFF 

The soul of NFF is said to be entangled with serious distrust among staff,  many who feared which camp the other belong. There are strong allegations that those loyal to Sanusi enjoy the luxury of travelling whenever there are trips to embark on and hold all juicy positions in the office. 

Most recently,  it was the just concluded 2025 AFCON in Morocco where it was alleged that everyone working in the General Secretary's office and his loyalist travelled to Morocco while not same can  be said of the President's men.

There is also a report that a particular staff member who has since resigned his appointment from the NFF was assigned with the responsibility to arrange for logistics and other sundry  duties for NFF staff, Congress members and other guests of the federation in Morocco without the contributions from the protocol unit we were reliably informed
