Billionaire Nigerian businessman and chairman of the BUA Group, Abdul Samad Isyaku Rabiu has congratulated the Super Eagles on their victory over Algeria in the quarterfinals.
In a statement immediately after the Super Eagles triumph over their Algerian counterparts, Alhaji Rabiu said the players have lifted the spirit of the nation, adding that Nigerians are proud with their achievements.
"You have lifted the spirit of the nation, and we proudly cheer you on as you prepare for the semi-finals," he said.
The business mogul with a conglomerate concentrating on manufacturing, infrastructure and agriculture and producing a revenue in excess of $2.5 billion said to the team, he's pledging $500,000 (about N710 million) to the players upon winning the semi-final, with an additional USD $50,000 (about N7.1 million) for every goal scored.
"To encourage you, I pledge USD $500,000 to the players upon winning the semi-final, with an additional USD $50,000 for every goal scored.
"Should you go on to win the final, I further pledge USD $1,000,000 (about N1.4 billion), plus USD $100,000 (about N140 million) for each goal scored in the final
