The Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters Club has emerged as a prominent source of support for Nigerian clubs competing on the continent, with the group making its presence felt at the MKO Abiola Stadium.

Led by the National President, Prince Abayomi Ogunjinmi who was visbly present at the stadium directing the affairs of the members said the supporters will continue to support the national teams and all Nigerian clubs at the CAF club competitions.

The supporters club was visibly present as Shooting Stars secured a narrow 1–0 victory over Tunisia’s CS Sfaxien in the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup tie on Saturday.

Their presence underscored the group’s commitment to supporting Nigerian football beyond the national teams. By turning out for Shooting Stars in their continental campaign, the Authentic Supporters demonstrated that their mandate extends to Nigerian clubs representing the country in CAF competitions.

The club’s support for domestic sides adds to its long-standing reputation for passionate and organised backing of Nigeria’s national teams at major international competitions.

Its performances on the continental stage have also earned the group recognition, with the supporters club receiving several accolades for its contribution to the atmosphere and promotion of Nigerian football during CAF competitions.

As Shooting Stars and other Nigerian clubs continue their continental journeys, the presence and support of groups such as the Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters Club could provide an added boost in their quest for success in Africa.
