World global music icon, David Adeleke otherwise known as Davido will headline the opening ceremony of the Africa Cup of Nations Sunday with his beautiful rendition of his music.
The award winning artist, from the famous Adeleke family in Osun State, Nigeria has performed at the ceremonies of two major sporting festivals: the FIFA World Cup and the National Sports Festival (NSF).Specifically, he performed at the closing ceremony of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, where he performed the official soundtrack "Hayya Hayya (Better Together)" alongside Trinidad Cardona and Aisha.He also performed at the opening ceremony of the 2025 National Sports Festival (tagged 'Gateway Games 2024') in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. He also previously performed at the opening ceremony of the 2017 AFCON tournament in Gabon. This time, the music star will perform at the opening Concert of the CAF AFCON, Morocco alongside French Montana, Douaa Lahyaoui, Says'z, and Lartiste.
