Onuachu creates history in Turkey, Osimhen grabs 12th goal of the season

Two Nigerian top goal scorers in the Turkish Super Lig, Paul Onuachu and Victor Osimhen proved their prowess Saturday as they both found the back of the nets in their respective matches for their teams.

However, it the Trabzonspor striker, Onuachu who's turning the heads with his historic feat.

Onuachu, on the night, made history by scoring for the eighth straight game for Trabzonspor.

His goal in the 51st minute proved to be the match winner for his club to match the 57 points recorded by second-placed Fenerbache with eight rounds of matches to the end of the season.

Onuachu remains the leading scorer in the Turkish top flight with 19 goals and two assists.

Osimhen, meanwhile, scored again for Galatasaray to notch his 12th goal of the season to bring his total tally to 18 goals and 4 assists in 26 games for Galatasaray across all competitions this season.

It was a huge boost for Galatasaray leading up to Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League rematch against Liverpool.

Osimhen scored Galatasaray's second goal in the 3-0 win against city rivals, Istanbul Basaksehir.

It was an audacious effort as he controlled a long ball inside the box before he fired past the goalkeeper.

This was just moments after a spectacular overhead kick by the Super Eagles striker crashed against the crossbar.

The home win has taken Galatasaray seven points clear of nearest rivals Fenerbache.
