Spain prodigy, Lamine Yamal has made history at the 2026 FIFA World Cup by becoming the first player ever to feature in both a UEFA European Championship final and a FIFA World Cup final as a teenager.

The 19-year-old Spanish sensation achieved this milestone when he started for Spain against Argentina in the World Cup final yesterday at the MetLife Stadium.

In addition to this historic double-final record, his appearance in the tournament also cemented several notable accolades:

At 19 years and 6 days old, Yamal became the third-youngest player to ever appear in a men's World Cup final, trailing only Brazil legend Pelé.

During the 2026 World Cup, he also notably surpassed Kylian Mbappé's record as the youngest player to score at the tournament, etching his name alongside all-time greats.
