Popoola, NOC scribe commends organisers

The Secretary General of the Nigeria Olympic Committee, (NOC), Tunde Popoola has commended the organizers of the annual Sportsville Special Recognition Award for  the consistency of the awards.

Engineer Popoola spoke last night when he was briefed about the preparations of this year’s award ceremony slated for March 28th at Lagos Country Club.

Says the former international hockey player; “I must commend you guys for doing a great job. I can’t believe this is the 6th edition, I am glad about the sustenance of this laudable initiative.

“One thing I have seen and observed in Nigeria is that only few organizations like yours are consistent when comes to pursuing their vision. 

“I am excited that Sportsville is making all the difference because it’s consistency that builds big brands globally,” he added.

The Chief Executive Officer of Sportsville, Frank Ilaboya, thanked Mr Popoola for believing in “our modest contribution to the nation’s sports ecosystem.

“We are here for a long haul, the vision is clear: to build a brand that is not only credible but one that  will stand the test of time. And I am very positive that Sportsville Special Recognition Award will achieve this status in few years to come,” the one time SWAN Chairman, Lagos State Chapter said.

This year’s ceremony will be Chaired by the Chairman of Brila Group, Dr Larry Izamoje.
