Serie A: Osimhen rakes in N187m
in Napoli's draw with Udinese
Want away Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen has met one of the clauses in his contract, and in the process becomes richer by €125k (about N187m), reports www.sportsunlimited.ng.
The Nigerian has a graduation contract to score specific number of goals per season to earn extra bonus.
Prior to the match against Udinese, Osimhen was on 14 goals and needed a goal to qualify for the bonus.
The Nigerian opened scoring for Napoli in the 51st minutes and would increased his tally to two goals in the game had VAR not ruled out his 80th minute effort.
Udinese eventually equalised to stalemate the scores at 1-1 but it wasn't enough to disqualified Osimhen from his jackpot of N187 million.
The 25-year-old striker has made just 21 league starts for last season’s Serie A Champion, largely due to his season getting disrupted by injuries.
Osimhen has now scored 15 goals and provided two assists for his teammates, averaging a goal contribution every two hours of football.
As per Il Napoli, Osimhen has a clause in his contract that will see him receive €125,000 if he scores 15 league goals this season and he met the clause in the Udinese game.
