Nigeria's striker, Victor Osimhen and his teammates are richer with the sum of $1 million (about N1.6 billion) promised them for the derby win against his Super Eagles captain, Wilfred Ndidi's Besiktas this evening.

Osimhen underlined he and his teammates' seriousness to win the game as he got into the referee's book in just the second minutes of the game but nicked the only goal for Galatasaray in the 39th minute for his 11th in the season.

Prior to the match, Galatasaray President Dursun Ozbek promised this huge reward should his team win to consolidate their leadership of the Turkish Super Lig.

And after the win, which consolidated Galatasaray's top position on the Super Lig, the players are sure going to smile home, not only because of the added points but the huge bonus from the club's supremo.

It was Osimhen against Ndidi and Besiktas in the epic Istanbul Derby.

Galatasaray are top of the standings with 61 points from 25 matches, seven points ahead of second-placed Fenerbache, while Besiktas are a distant fourth with 46 points.
