Nigeria's U-18 boys' volleyball team will take on hosts Egypt in a crucial Group A encounter on Friday at the 2026 CAVB Boys and Girls U-18 African Nations Volleyball Championship in Alexandria, Egypt.

The match is expected to be one of the standout fixtures of the day as both teams opened their campaigns with convincing straight-set victories.

Nigeria began the tournament on a strong note by defeating Morocco 3-0, while Egypt also secured a dominant 3-0 win over Burundi to set up a battle for early control of Group A.

A victory for either side would put the winner in a strong position to qualify for the knockout stage of the continental championship.

Elsewhere in the boys' competition, Cameroon will be looking to recover from their opening-day 3-1 defeat to Tunisia when they face Libya in a Group B fixture.

In the girls' category, Tunisia will battle Cameroon, while Senegal takes on Algeria in the day's other matches as the race for knockout places gathers momentum.

Four matches are scheduled across both the boys' and girls' competitions, with teams aiming to strengthen their chances of advancing in the championship.
