Iloenyosi aims high for Intermediate Games

…As Anambra unveils kits for male, female teams

The Chairman of the Anambra State Football Association, Chikelue Iloenyosi, has expressed high hope about the state’s team to the forthcoming National Intermediate Games to be hosted by Lagos.

Iloenyosi said the representatives of the state in the male and female categories have been in camp over a period of time preparing for the games.

“We have kept them in camp in a right environment with good coaches. We have plans to make a great impact at the games. That is the only way to show appreciation to our ever-supporting Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, who has been providing all we need to prepare the team,” Iloenyosi, a former international said.

Only recently, the Anambra FA, under the leadership of Iloenyosi, in collaboration with the Anambra State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, unveiled the new kits (jerseys) for the state’s Intermediate team.

“The unveiling represents more than just new jerseys, it reflects a renewed commitment to professionalism, identity, unity and the continued development of football across Anambra State,” Iloenyosi added.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner for Youth Development and Sports, Mr. Patrick Agha Mba, on Saturday visited the Anambra State Intermediate Team and Management at their training camp in Enugwu-Ukwu, alongside the FA Chairman, Iloenyosi.

The visit was aimed at conveying the encouragement, goodwill message of Mr. Governor to the players, coaches, and management of the team as they continue their preparations.

The commissioner commended the team for their dedication, discipline, and commitment, while reaffirming the State Government’s continued support for the development of football and youth sports in Anambra State.
