NFF embark on spending spree to China after missing the FIFA World Cup

Top officials of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), 1st vice President, Felix Anyansi - Agwu and Technical and Development committee chairman, Sharif Rabiu Inuwa, also known as (Ahlan) have embark  on a trip to China with the Golden Eaglets to participate in the 2026 China International Youth Football Tournament.

The five - time world champions who departed Nigeria on Thursday, with a contingent of about 31 persons including players and officers will compete alongside host China, Australia and Tanzania in the four Nations Tournament, with Nigeria U- 17 team taking on Tanzania on Sunday at the Yinchuan Sports centre Helanshan stadium.

Already, NFF General Secretary, Dr. Muhammad Sanusi and Head of member Association, Ali Abubakar Muhammad, have before now travelled to china as advance team.

The International Tournament forms part of the Golden Eaglets preparation for the 2026 WAFU B U- 17 Championship, which serves as qualifying tournament for the 2027 Championship scheduled to take place in September.
