Cameroon win first WAFCON title after 3–0 victory over Malawi

Cameroon have been crowned Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) champions for the first time after defeating Malawi 3–0 in the 2026 final in Rabat, Morocco.

Marie Ngah Manga scored twice, while Naomi Ndjoah Eto added the other goal as Cameroon produced a dominant first-half performance to secure the historic victory.

The triumph ends Cameroon’s wait after three previous WAFCON final defeats, all against Nigeria in 2004, 2014 and 2016.

Cameroon now become only the fourth nation to win the women’s continental title, joining Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea and South Africa.
