NFF board member, Nse Essien, Umoh endorse 5th Pastor Umo Eno Easter Unity tournament
The 5th Pastor Umo Eno Easter Unity Tournament has received a major boost with endorsements from prominent football officials. NFF Board Member, Rt Hon Nse Essien, and Akwa Ibom State Football Association Chairman, Comrade Samuel Umoh, have thrown their weight behind the tournament, praising the organizers for their efforts in promoting youth football.
In separate statements, Rt Hon Nse Essien and Comrade Samuel Umoh commended the Grassroots Sports Federation (GRASOF) for their dedication to developing football at the grassroots level. They also expressed gratitude to Governor Umo Eno for his sponsorship and support, which has made the tournament possible.
"The 5th Pastor Umo Eno Easter Unity Tournament is a commendable initiative that aligns with the NFF's vision of promoting youth football development," Rt Hon Nse Essien said. "We applaud GRASOF for their tireless efforts in organizing this tournament and Governor Umo Eno for his commitment to supporting football in Akwa Ibom State."
Comrade Samuel Umoh echoed similar sentiments, saying, "The Akwa Ibom State Football Association is proud to support this tournament. It's a great platform for young talents to showcase their skills and develop their passion for the game. We thank Governor Umo Eno for his vision and support."
The Under-17 tournament kicks off today at Uyo Township Stadium, with several teams expected to participate. The tournament Coordinator hon John Ekpenyong and the State Chairman GRASOF Comrade Ita Peters appreciated the both esteemed administrators for their dedication for sports development in the state and Nigeria at large
