Hon Ilaboya, Wife host victorious Owan West football team

It was a moment of joy and excitement when Hon Frank Ilaboya and his amiable wife, Mrs Patience Azegbe Ilaboya, hosted the victorious Owan West Football Team yesterday, December 20th, 2025.
The hosting of the team coincided with the annual Christmas Party for the Elderly in Owan West Local Govt Area, held at the Ilaboyas' country home at Uzebba, Owan West!
The Owan West Team were outstanding in victory in the just concluded ALUKE IDANESI FOUNDATION UNITY CUP at WEPPA Agenegbode, Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State
Hon Ilaboya, who is also the Executive Director representing Edo North in the Edo State Sports Commission, praised the resilience and discipline of the team and commended them for securing victory for Owan West.
"I am very proud of your outstanding performance in far away Agenebode, Etsako East LGA. You have shown the never say-die-spirit of Owan West and this is highly commendable, congratulations."
The team, which was led by the Chairman and Secretary of Owan West Football Council, Comrade Frank Osemobo and Paul Aikhoje,
was also rewarded with a sum of N50,000 by Hon Ilaboya.
In his remarks, Comrade Osemobo thanked Hon Ilaboya for the support and encouragement going into the tournament.
"We want to sincerely appreciate your encouragement and support anytime we call on you. Thank you for always being there for us.
"We are here today to present the cup to you as a mark of your encouragement and support. God bless you," he added.
