EXPOSED! NPFL clubside blows N4.2b in 2 years

A shocking revelation has been made by an insider to www.sportsunlimited.ng on how a Nigerian Premier Football league NPFL clubside based in the North central part of Nigeria spent a whopping sum of N4.2 billion in two years.

According to our source, the club allegedly received from it's state government a yearly subvention of N2.1 billion.

He further revealed that it was the reason the former club General Manager, who's also a senior civil servant in the state was sacked; because he couldn't account for the huge sum of money released to the club to prosecute the league as the club struggled against relegation for two seasons in a roll.

The team was heading for the drop before the state government relieved him of his appointment and appointed an astute sports administrator who later bailed the club out of relegation.

This North central NPFL clubside is said to be among the most well financed teams in Nigeria as the least player gets above N700,000 as salary monthly.

We gathered that the club spent about N80 million monthly for salary, use N15 million to prosecute home matches and N25 million for it's away matches.
