...Says almost all players last season have moved on, calls for calm

Newly appointed Technical Adviser of Niger Tornadoes, Coach Kabiru Suleiman Dogo, has appealed to the club's supporters to remain patient and continue backing the team as the Ikon Allah Boys embark on a major rebuilding process ahead of the 2026/2027 football season.

Following the departure of a significant number of key players from last season's squad, Coach Dogo has been handed the challenging responsibility of assembling a new team capable of competing at the highest level. Speaking during one of the club's training sessions at the Niger State Sports Commission Football Pitch in Minna, the experienced tactician acknowledged that rebuilding a football team is never an easy task but expressed confidence that the process would produce a stronger and more competitive side.

The Federation Cup-winning coach with El-Kanemi Warriors said the technical crew is working tirelessly to identify quality players who possess the character, discipline and commitment required to represent Niger Tornadoes.

He noted that building team chemistry, instilling the club's philosophy and creating a winning mentality take time, urging fans to trust the process.

"We are starting a new era at Niger Tornadoes because most of the players from last season have moved to other clubs. This means we have to build almost from scratch, and that is a huge responsibility for me and my technical crew. Rebuilding is never easy, but we are determined to put together a formidable team that the fans will be proud of.

I want to assure our supporters that we will get it right. All we ask for is their patience, understanding and support as we work towards achieving our goals," Dogo stated.

The experienced gaffer stressed that the success of the rebuilding project would require collective effort from the management, players, technical crew, supporters and every stakeholder associated with the club. He added that with unity, hard work and the continued encouragement of the fans, Niger Tornadoes can return to competing strongly in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
