This season's NPFL 'll be interesting - Ranchers Bees coach

The Technical Adviser of Ranchers Bees Football Club, Usman Abdullah has envisaged an interesting season for the NPFL with the way some foreign players and Nigeria players from other African leagues are coming home.

Abdullah who has coached clubs like Wikki Tourists, Enyimba, Kano Pillars, Katsina United, Remo Stars and clubs in Benin Republic, said the NPFL is different from other African leagues.

"Here you need experience, intelligence, strength and with the controversies in the league, during matches, you have to be matured to handle it."

He said his team has put behind it first match loss to Ikorodu to face it remaining matches.

He was sad with his top striker getting a red card in the match against Ikorodu. "I don't know why he was that careless. He is one of our most experienced players and he will miss the next three matches. "That will affect us. Although we still have some experienced players to replace him. He will definitely be fined by the club for the carelessness," coach Abdullah said.

He added "the fact that we are playing our early home matches away from home, with all that, it will be tough. Like you know, every match comes with it own challenges, the boys are determined, it also up to us the technical crew to work with the boys, and also management and supporters to support them.

"The boys are responding well in training despite the first match they lost. We still have 37 matches to play, we will bounce back.

He however appealed to the Kaduna State government to expedite action on the renovation of the Kaduna Township Stadium.

"I want Ranchers back home quickly. It is an advantage. We can't wait to come back home and by the grace of God, we will make something out of the league and make Kaduna proud," he added.
