Dehumanization of Coach Emmanuel Deutsche by Daniel Eke

. A Call for full scale investigation and justice

It was a show of shame and animalistic behaviour at the Aba Township Stadium on Sunday in a match Day 30 of Nigeria Premier Football League between Enyimba Football Club and Plateau United as Sporting Director of People's Elephants, Daniel Eke allegedly battered the face of the club's Head Coach, Emmanuel Deutsche.

The two time CAF Champions League holders defeated their visitors 2-0 but it appeared that the result did not go down well with the Sporting Director due to the fact that the coach did not yield to his substitution directives during the first half of the match.

At the first half, our correspondent scooped that the Sporting Director at the end of the first half pushed the coach and followed him inside the dressing room and then punched him. A punch that battered his face and left a scarce on his left eye.

Surprisingly, the same Sporting Director was reported to have been intimidating every member of staff and also threatening the coach in Warri last week during Match Day 29 that he would beat him in his hotel room for failing to make substitutions as expected by Sporting Director.

Another report had it that the Sporting Director, Mr Daniel after punching the coach went further to send his attack dogs popularly known as area boys to send coach Emmanuel Deutsch personal assistant ( PA) out of the stadium and warned him not to enter the stadium without his permission .The same Daniel told coach Deutsch that he would stab him with a knife if he did not win the game, which the coach later won.

As at the time of filing this report, the unconfirmed information has it that the newly appointed Sporting Director lost composure yesterday and inflicted the coach with a near death punch shortly after the victory in Aba Township Stadium.

Efforts made to reach out to the People's Elephant’s Chairman, Kanu Nwankwo and Sporting Director, Daniel Eke were unsuccessful

This platform is using this medium to call on the NPFL Board ably led by Honourable Gbenga Elegbeleye to investigate this matter and sanction whoever that is found wanting as this may breed unhealthy relationship between Nigeria Football Federation, NFF and Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT).
