Super Eagles top in major 2025 AFCON stats

CAF have acknowledged the impressive performance of the Super Eagles at the 2025 AFCON after they credited them with several major statistics at the tournament in Morocco.

The Super Eagles, who finished third at the competition, were also officially announced as the highest scoring team with 14 goals, the team with the highest average ball possession (66%) as well as the team with the most consecutive wins (5 wins).

Ademola Lookman was also named as the Best Playmaker of the championship with four assists.

Jerome Akor’s cute finish against Algeria was also picked by CAF among the Top 5 goals of the tournament.

The final of the 2025 AFCON between hosts Morocco and eventual champions Senegal drew the highest attendance of 66,526 inside the Stade Moulay Abdellah in Rabat.
