Amidst the bonus row with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the Super Eagles players have been paid a total sum of $80,000 for the 12 goal they have so far scored at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) so far.

A source revealed that they have already been paid, $5,000 per goal in the group stage, $10,000 per goal in the knockout rounds. Those payments totalled $80,000.
