The Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Grassroots Sports Development, Prince Anthony Adeyinka Adeboye, Tuesday received WBA Africa champion Yusuf Adeniji in his Lagos office.

The young boxer who was equally voted as the 2025 Fight Gist Boxer of the year, presented the belt and the his trophy to an elated Adeboye, who described him as a good boxer, with a promising future in the art of pugilism.

Adeboye disclosed that during the courtesy visit by the young boxing champion, discussions were held concerning advancing grassroots boxing and creating more opportunities for young talents across Nigeria.

"His inspiring journey, dedication to the sport, and passion for mentoring the next generation reflect the values we are committed to promoting.

"I appreciate Yusuf Adeniji for the visit and his unwavering commitment to the growth of boxing. Together, we will continue to strengthen grassroots sports development and create a pathway for more Nigerian champions to emerge," he enthused confidently.
