Widow of Tolu Abe, a former head IT of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Omobola Abe has lamented the agony, frustration and abandonment the family has to suffer since the death of their bread winner.

Omobola, told www.Sportsunlimited.ng. that aside the two million naira,(N2 million) that she received from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) when her husband died in August 2019, she has not received a dime from her husband's employer or any form of support.

Speaking further, Omobola, widow of Tolu, said two of  daughters have graduated from the University through the benevolence of former President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Marvin Pinnick, who through his foundation, Brownhills Foundation has been catering and paying the children's school fees and accommodation.

"My two daughters are graduate today courtesy of the benevolence of Pinnick who has been sponsoring the children's education.

"The NFF only gave us ₦2 million after the death of my husband in 2019. We have had to struggle to get the children through secondary schools with the ₦2 million which was never enough. We suffered hardship and deprivation," she stated in tears.

"We are leaving on a mortgage house, with his meagre pension we've been paying off the loan he collected to buy the house and things have been difficult for us," she narrated.

According to Omobola, neither the NFF or the Sports Commission has rendered them any assistance, stating that only two staff of the federation, Olajire and Enebi that have been of immense help to the family.

"I have five children, two have graduated, the third child just got admission into the university and it's Pinnick who's footing and sponsoring their education."

www.sportsunlimited.ng gathered that no fewer than five staff have died within 2019 to date and the federation has abandoned their families.

Efforts to speak with the NFF General Secretary, Dr. Sanusi Mohammed, for his reaction, proved abortive as did not answer  his calls and he did not reply to our SMS massage sent to him for his response.
