The CEO of Remo Stars, Adedoyin Ogungbefun has reacted to the videos of Ikorodu United vehicle with broken glasses flying around, absorbing his team from any blame whatsoever.

Speaking to our reporter, Ogungbefun said it was surprising to see the vehicle of Ikorodu United in that state, adding that the match had ended 1-0 in his team's favour with the three points in their kitty, insisting there was actually no reason to go fighting.

"Although, more than 30 minutes after the final whistle, the opposing fans threw objects toward our supporters but it was managed and Ikorodu United players and officials left the stadium area peacefully.

In the CEO's words, "we received a call later, well after they had left Ikenne, reporting that 16 individuals including four academy players were involved, that stranded somewhere in Sagamu. We had to provid our club's team bus and took them safely beyond Ikenne.

"We got to know later that during their  transit, their driver drove recklessly along the Sagamu–Ikenne route, taking a one-way road and colliding with a motorcycle driver who reported a case of accident at the police station. In that process, their bus bumper was damaged and they had issues with people in that town

"We were actually receptive to them before, during and after the match, aside from little shout out their fans initiated after they lost the match.

"At the pre-match meeting, three state buses and 20 tickets were approved. The Match Commissioner clearly stated that any number of fans beyond the approved 20 would require payment.

"However, they arrived with additional supporters, bringing 31 extra individuals and refused to pay. Their General Manager had assured that payment would be made after the match, but this was not fulfilled.

"For security, two patrol vehicles were positioned at the visitors’ stand. Additionally, I had  a video call with Davison Owunmi to provide visual evidence of Ikorodu fans holding bottles, documenting the situation," he claimed.
