Quomodo Inter-School Swimming takes centres stage at Ikoyi Club Saturday

The annual Quomodo Inter-School Swimming Competition takes place on Saturday (today) at the swimming section of Ikoyi Club 1938.

The competition will feature all major swimming strokes, Freestyle, Breaststroke, Backstroke, Butterfly, and Individual Medley, with distances tailored to different age categories, ensuring fair and competitive racing for all participants.

Saturday’s event is the first leg of the league format of the developmental talent hunt competition.

The Inter-School Swimming League is structured across three categories in both first and second legs. And so there will be Primary, Junior Secondary, and Senior Secondary levels, providing a broad platform for young swimmers to compete and showcase their talents.

The event is expected to deliver a vibrant and competitive atmosphere across all categories.

The Chairman of the Swimming Section of Ikoyi Club 1938, Mr. Akinbulejo Onabolu, told our correspondent that all was set for the Swimming Grand Slam at the elite club.

“We are always happy to receive youngsters at Ikoyi Club and we believe the forthcoming event will reflect the commitment of the club to develop talents for the country.

“Every aspects of the programme has been attended to and we expect a very good competition in a very conducive atmosphere at the swimming section. It will be fun-filled,” Onabolu said.
