Gov Makinde approves N200m for 3SC continental engagement
Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) have been boosted with the sum of N200 million ahead of their continental engagement.
It would be recalled that 3SC, after a 27-year hiatus, are returning to the African continent after placing third in last season's Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) behind Enugu Rangers and Rivers United.
According to a statement credited to the club chairman, Taiwo Lekan-Salami, the Oyo State government has approved an initial take-off grant of N200,000,000 to Shooting Stars Sports Club.
The funding is to support the club’s quest for continental honours, a feat that has eluded them for 27 years.
Club Chairman, Hon. Taiwo Lekan-Salami currently in Abuja, confirmed the development via phone call to journalist Tobi Adepoju.
