Super Eagles defender, Bright Osayi-Samuel looks set to terminate his contract with Turkish Super Big giant, Fenerbahce.

This is coming less than a week after the Yellow Canaries tabled a four-year offer for the AFCON 2023 silver winner, who was involved in an altercation with a fan during a game against Trabzonspor away from home.

According to news sourced from Turkish Football News on social media networking app X (formerly Twitter), the Nigerian through his representative has informed the club of his decision.

A tweet at the weekend on the Super Eagles defender who is on international duties with Nigeria in the tune-up game against Ghana and Mali in Marrakech, Morocco stated.

“Fenerbahce player Osayi-Samuel agents has informed club administration that he would terminate contract if the club decides to be relegated to a lower league.”

The development is in the wake of a shocking attack on Fenerbahce and it’s contemplating a drastic move that could shake the foundations of Turkish football.

Recall the defender is at the centre of transfer talks regarding his future with one year remaining on his contract with Fenerbahce.

Meanwhile, Sky Bet Championship club and promotion chasing Leeds United is preparing a £7 million bid for Bright Osayi-Samuel. The versatile defender has been heavily linked with a return to England since leaving Queens Park Rangers in 2019.
