The history, evolution and enduring legacy of Kwara United Football Club will take centre stage tomorrow Thursday, August 27, 2026, as some of the biggest names in Nigerian sports, football administration and traditional institutions converge on Ilorin for the public presentation of a new book documenting the history of the Harmony Boys.

The book, titled “Kwara United Football Club: The History, the Records So Far,” will be formally presented at the Conference Room of the Gabriel Babatunde Ladipo Indoor Sports Hall, George Agbazika Innih Stadium Complex, Ilorin, from 10:00am.

The event is expected to attract dignitaries led by Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, who will serve as the Executive Launcher, while the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, will attend as the Royal Launcher.

Also expected are the Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Mallam Shehu Dikko; President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau; and Chairman of the Nigeria Premier Football League, Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye, alongside other leading figures in Nigerian football and sports administration.

The Chief Host is the Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Mallam Bolakale Adisa Mogaji, while the hosts are the Chairman of Kwara United Football Club, Kumbi Titiloye, and Chairman of the Kwara State Football Association, Mallam Idris Abdullahi Musa Thuraya.

The Chairman of the Occasion is Engr. Femi Sanni Araba, while the Chief Launcher is the Elemona of Ilemona, His Royal Highness, Oba Nurudeen Alowonle Yusuf.

The publication is more than a documentation of football matches, players, coaches and administrative milestones.
