Onuachu loses Golden Boot race in Turkey

Eldor Shomurodov has beaten Paul Onuachu to the Turkish Süper Lig Golden Boot (Gol Kralı).

Though the Istanbul Başakşehir striker tied on the number of goals (22) with Onuachu but he edged the Super Eagles striker on the number of assists(5) while Onuachu had none recorded against his name.

In the last league match Onuachu played against Gençlerbirliği last night, Trabzonspor lost 3-0 with Onuachu failing to hit the target.

Onuachu was leading the race until Saturday before Shomurodov increased his tally to equal the Nigerian in a 2-1 win against Gaziantep FK where he scored from the penalty spot.
