GoOmamomi appointed Chief Scout for 3rd Senate President U-18 Unity Cup

The Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the 3rd Senate President U-18 Unity Cup has appointed Paul Ojo Omamomi, Chairman of P.Sports Football Academy, as Chief Scout for the tournament.

In a statement signed by the LOC chairman, Adede Kufre Inima, Omamomi's appointment was in recognition of his vast experience in grassroots football development, his track record as a renowned academy administrator, and his reputation as a credible talent agent.

The tournament aims to discover young football talents, foster unity, and create direct pathways for Nigerian youth through sports, in line with the vision of His Excellency, Senator Dr. Godswill Obot Akpabio, (GCON), Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

As Chief Scout, Omamomi will lead Talent Identification, head the scouting team to identify, assess and recommend outstanding U-18 players during the tournament.

He will uphold professionalism, ensure all scouting activities are conducted with fairness, transparency and in accordance with GRASOF technical guidelines.

He's also to provide daily scouting reports and a final comprehensive report on discovered talents to the Technical Committee amongst other professional details necessary for the development of the discovered talents..

Speaking on the appointment, the LOC chairman, Inima, said the committee is confident that Omamomi’s expertise will add immense value to the talent discovery objective of the tournament.

Also endorsing the appointment, Coach Ahmed Tanko, LOC Technical Head, and Hon. John Bassey Ekpenyong, National President of GRASOF, noted that bringing in experienced hands like Omamomi will strengthen the credibility of the scouting process and open more opportunities for grassroots players.

The LOC congratulates Mr. Paul Ojo Omamomi on this appointment and looks forward to working with him to deliver a successful and impactful tournament.
