The Borno State Commissioner averred that making such declarations without consulting with Club owners was an overreach by the league managers saying as partners in the propagation of the league thee NPFL should have met with the club owners before making such statement.
Hon Buba asserted that such statement would be counter productive as it would lead to a decline in the leagues performances as very few clubs have the capacity to pay the proposed sum to its players monthly.
He therefore called on the NPFL to rescind it's decision and Firstly look at how to increase the clubsides revenue generation before imposing the humongous salary structure in the clubs who barely surviving every season.
