NNL expels Sporting Supreme from further participation in league

The Nigeria National League (NNL), has expelled Sporting Supreme Football Club of Abuja for missing two consecutive matches against Jigawa Golden Stars of Dutse and Ranches Bees of Kaduna .

The Nigeria National League (NNL), has expelled Sporting Supreme Football Club of Abuja for missing two consecutive matches against Jigawa Golden Stars of Dutse and Ranches Bees of Kaduna.

The club breached NNL rules (articles 31, 7, 14.9.1, 14.10, and 14.11).

The consequences of the misses is a
N10 million fine. All matches involving Sporting Supreme have been cancelled, points for and against annulled.
Sporting Supreme and its management have been placed on a 5-year ban from NNL activities .

Sporting Supreme is the second team after Dakkada to be expelled this season(2025-2026).

NNL Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Danlami Alanana, said the sanctions are deserved as the club's actions are capable of "bringing disrepute to the league".

He emphasized that NNL is a professional league, and clubs must abide by the rules or face consequences.
