NALCOMA felicitates newly promoted clubs, charges them to uphold NNL’s legacy
The National League Clubs Owners and Managers Association (NALCOMA) has congratulated newly promoted sides, Inter Lagos of Lagos state, Doma United of Gombe state, Ranchers Bees of Kaduna state, and Sporting Lagos of Lagos state on their successful elevation to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
In a statement attributed to its President, Godwin Enakhena, the association praised the resilience and determination of the clubs, noting that their achievements came despite numerous systemic challenges encountered during the just-concluded season.
Enakhena urged the promoted teams to begin early preparations for the 2026/2027 NPFL campaign, emphasizing the need to justify the growing importance of the Nigeria National League (NNL).
“The promotion of these clubs is a testament to hard work, resilience, and belief. However, the real task begins now. They must prepare adequately to compete at the highest level and validate the strength and relevance of the NNL as a breeding ground for top-flight football,” he stated.
The association reaffirmed its commitment to supporting clubs and stakeholders in ensuring continued growth, professionalism, and competitiveness across all tiers of Nigerian football.
In the same vein, NALCOMA has commended teams relegated at the end of the season for their resilience and fighting spirit, despite falling short in the final standings.
The body acknowledged the determination and competitiveness displayed by the affected clubs throughout the campaign, noting that their efforts contributed significantly to the excitement and quality of the league.
“Every season comes with its highs and lows, and while some teams celebrate promotion or survival, others face the disappointment of relegation. We commend these clubs for giving a good fight and upholding the spirit of the game till the very end.
“There will always be winners and losers in every race. What matters most is the ability to learn, rebuild, and come back stronger,” Enakhena added.
