NFF upholds NPFL N5m hammer on Remo Stars

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has upheld the sanctions on Remo Stars by the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) for the breach in their match against Ikorodu City.

The NPFL had announced a N7 million fine and stadium ban on the former champions but the Ijebu Ode club management protested the decision.

While ruling on the appeal filed by Remo Stars, the NFF adopted the NPFL decisions on sanctions 1,2,5 which found Remo Stars liable to pay a cumulative sum of N5 million and disagree on decisions on sanction 3 and 4.

Similarly, the NFF Committee, while agreeing with the NPFL Remo Stars' home ban, however, reduced the home ban to five matches.
