The chairman of Niger Tornadoes, Engineer Ibrahim Dauda said after his team's 2-1 win over Sunshine Stars of Akure at the ABS Stadium, Kaduna was not easy.

In his words, “the 2023/2024 season was not easy, but we thank God for everything. Like I said and also told the players, Niger Tornadoes played 38 away matches, we thank God almighty for his grace and the Kaduna fans for their support."

On the fate of coach Majin Mohammed after steering the team away from relegation, the chairman heaps praises on coach Mohammed, who took over the team in the second round after a awful first round performance.

According to the chairman, Tornadoes got two away wins and four draws, stressing that no other team got such performance.

"The second round results actually helped us away from relegation, considering our poor first round performance. We will go back and the management will sit down and plan way forward," he said.

The chairman gave the NPFL management plaundits for the standard of the league this season.

" There was improvement in the Nigeria Premier League. We had to wait till the last day to determine some of the relegated teams as well as the teams that will come second, third and fourth positions. To me, this is an improvement," he submitted.
