Ochei reaffirms DAVNOTCH commitment to growth of tennis in Nigeria

The Managing Director of DAVNOTCH Nigeria Limited, Emmanuel Ochei, has reaffirm the Company's commitment to the growth and development of Tennis in Nigeria.

Speaking at a news conference ahead of the grand finale of the sixth edition of Nigeria's foremost privately sponsored Tennis Competition with all eight categories being competed for and remains a vital grow for discovering and nurturing talents.

According to him, the champions organized in partnership with the Nigeria Tennis Federation ( NTF), has welcome more than 1,000 participants since it's Inception in 2021, with Serval players going on to become National champions and key figures in Nigerian Tennis.

DAVNOTCH, also introduced wheelchair Tennis into the championship, to further demonstrates their Unwavering commitment to inclusiveness and equal opportunity for all athletes.

The President of the Nigeria Tennis Federation, (NTF) , Victor Ochei, acknowledge the contribution of his Predecessor, Late Engineer Ifedayo Akindoju, whom he described leid the foundation which the Federation is leaveaging on.

Adding that, the Federation has introduced a comprehensive digital registration system for players, creating a reliable National database of athletes that will enhance planning, talents identification and players development.

" We have intensified grassroots tennis development across the country, ensuring that gifted young players are discovered and nurtured from an early age.

He also started that they're working on introducing basic schools and collegiate Tennis program, a strategic excellence with sporting development.

This initiative will significantly expand the talent pool available to Nigeria while creating opportunities for young people to pursue education and sports simultaneously. Ochei said.

Ochei, also revealed that the Nigeria Tennis Federation NTF has immortalise the Late President of the Federation by naming the centre court after him in recognition of his contribution to Nigeria Tennis.
