Ilechukwu gets one-year contract extension at Rangers

‎Rangers International Football Club have officially extended the contract of head coach Fidelis Ilechukwu by one year.

‎

‎The two-time Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title-winning coach signed the new deal on Saturday following his return from national team duties.

‎

‎The contract extension will see Ilechukwu remain at the helm of the Flying Antelopes for a fourth consecutive season as Rangers prepare for a return to continental football and a campaign in the CAF Champions League following their league triumph.

‎

‎Speaking after signing the new agreement, Coach Ilechukwu expressed appreciation to the Enugu State Government, the club's management, and the supporters for their unwavering support.

‎

‎"I want to thank the government and the good people of Enugu State for their support and belief in our project," he said.

‎

‎"We are focused and ready to give our best, especially now that we are returning to continental football. We are working hard to strengthen the squad and ensure that Rangers remain competitive at the highest level."

‎On his part, Rangers General Manager and Chief Executive Officer, Amobi Ezeaku, congratulated the coach on his new deal and expressed his delight at continuing the partnership.
