Two quick goals in the 79th and 90th minutes by Erling Haaland were all Norway needed to send Brazil out of the 2026 World Cup.

Although Neymar salvaged a little pride for the Brazilians scoring from the penalty spot 10 minute of added time, it matters less as Norway sailed to the quarter finals.

It was a repeat of the 1998 tournament in France when Norway won 2-1 in Marseille on June 23, 1998.

Norway showed early they meant business as they immediately took the game to the Brazilians, scoring as early as the 3rd minute but the goal was ruled offside.

The Scandinavians had the highest number of possession with Brazil unable to find their rhythm.

Brazil had opportunity to go ahead in the 14th minute from the spot kick but goalkeeper Ørjan Nyland denies Bruno Guimarães from the spot.
