FutbolConect to host Talent & Club Growth Development Summit in Lagos

FutbolConect is set to host the Talent & Club Growth Development Summit 2026, a football business and development gathering convening key stakeholders across the football ecosystem.

The summit will hold on Monday, 31 August, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, under the theme “From Grassroots to Stardom.”

Built around the proposition that football networks should not only create connections but also create income, opportunities and measurable impact, the summit will focus on building stronger networks, discovering and developing talent, growing clubs, and creating sustainable economic opportunities within the game.

The event will provide a platform for clubs, academies, scouts, agents, coaches, players, administrators, investors and sponsors to connect and explore collaboration and growth.

According to FutbolConect, the summit aims to move beyond traditional approaches to development and build a more connected ecosystem where talent, clubs, opportunities and investment can meet.

It comes at a time when grassroots football in Nigeria is receiving increased attention, with greater emphasis on structured talent identification, scouting, player visibility and clear pathways to professional football.

The organisation is inviting stakeholders to become part of a new generation of Talent & Club Growth Developers, with conversations centered on four pillars:

Connect - with relevant stakeholders and opportunities.

Register - and build verified professional football profiles and networks.

Earn - through legitimate football-related opportunities and commissions.

Grow - football networks, clubs, businesses and influence.

The organisers note that while Africa possesses enormous football talent, stronger structures are needed to ensure players, emerging clubs and professionals have access to the right networks.

"From grassroots to the professional stage, there is a need for stronger connections between players, clubs, academies, scouts, investors and the wider football industry. FutbolConect is building a platform around that connection," the organisation said.

The summit is expected to serve as both a networking platform and a strategic conversation on the future of football development and football business in Nigeria.

Already confirmed to attend are some ex Internationals, FIFA licensed Intermediaries, many Club Owners, Representative of the NFF as well the leagues, NLO and NNL.
