In its continued efforts to promote true sportsmanship and foster a strong relationship with relevant stakeholders in Gombe State, the management of Doma United Football Club, popularly known as the Savannah Tigers, paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Yusuf Abdul Kwadon.
During the visit, the Honourable Commissioner appreciated the management of Doma United for the gesture and congratulated the club on its well-deserved promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
He further assured the management that Gombe State Government remains committed to supporting the club and is ready to provide any assistance within its powers to contribute to the team's success.
He also conveyed the goodwill and best wishes of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Gombe State, Alh. Inuwa Yahya to the club ahead of its NPFL campaign.
Speaking on behalf of Doma United, the Sporting Director, Mr. Akin Maxwell, expressed appreciation to the Gombe State Government for its unwavering support and commitment to the development of football in the state.
Mr. Maxwell also extended a formal invitation to the Honourable Commissioner to grace Doma United's league opener against Sporting Lagos on Sunday as the Special Guest of Honour.
The club's technical crew was also represented by Coach Najib Mabo, who masterminded Doma United's successful promotion to the NPFL also expressed the club's appreciation to the Gombe State Government for recognising and supporting Doma United as an important stakeholder in the state's football development.
Coach Najib Mabo, on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer of Doma United, Alhaji Suleiman Umar, commended the state government for treating Doma United as an equal partner alongside the state-owned team and for creating an enabling environment for football development.
In conclusion, the Sporting Director, on behalf of the entire Doma United family, expressed sincere appreciation to the Honourable Commissioner for receiving the delegation and for his time, hospitality, and continued support for the club.
