Drew Uyi hails Tenebe on football development In Edo State

Edo Queens football club of Benin on Sunday were crowned as the 2025/2026 Nigeria Women Football League champions at the final matchday of the Siper Six playoffs held in Port Harcourt. 

Speaking with journalists after the historic feat, while congratulating Edo Queens and the good people of Edo State, renowned sportspreneur and FIFA licensed agent, Dr. Drew Uyi, acknowledged the efforts of the Edo State government, as well as, the Chairman of Edo sports commission, Desmond Enabulele, in ensuring that the state female football team were encouraged before and during the NWFL Super Six playoffs. 

Uyi, was particularly effusive in praises for the Chairman of Bendel Insurance football club, Emperor Jarrett Tenebe, for transforming the fortunes of the Edo Gunners, from being perennial relegation battlers, since returning to the NPFL. 

"It is particularly worthy to acknowledge the efforts of Hon. Jarrett Tenebe in the positive turnaround in the fortunes of Bendel Insurance FC. And that aura, and professionalism has influenced the fortunes of Edo Queens. 

"I'm equally happy that Hon. Tenebe, is also the Chairman of Edo State All Progressive Congress. As, it portends better future for the development of sports in Edo State, he added.
