Bayern rejects chance to Osimhen

According to a report by Tz, Bayern Munich were given the option to sign former Napoli striker Victor Osimhen from Galatasaray.

It has been about 18 months since Osimhen moved to Turkey.

According to the report, FC Bayern were offered to sign the player via an English intermediary.

The Nigerian international, currently playing at the Africa Cup of Nations, would be willing to sign for the Bavarians — despite competition from Harry Kane.

Osimhen is apparently in a relationship with a German woman, and could imagine a return to Germany.

The former Wolfsburg striker was linked with Bayern Munich back in 2023, and there was speculation that Bayern were among a select list of 10 clubs that could sign him from Galatasaray for a release clause.

However, according to the report, sporting director Max Eberl made it clear to the intermediary that Bayern Munich had no intention of signing Osimhen.

The matter would only become relevant if Harry Kane were leaving in the summer, which he isn’t going to do. In fact, Bayern are set to begin talks to extend the Englishman’s contract.

So, there is practically no chance that Victor Osimhen will wear Bayern colors any time soon.

This would have been a mouthwatering transfer rumor in 2023-24, today it just feels a little desperate.
