Arsenal, Man City eye 5th win as DStv, GOtv serve Premier League action

Arsenal and Manchester City will, this weekend, look to maintain their perfect starts to the season, while Chelsea, Liverpool and Man United seek to respond to recent setbacks. 

Brentford host Chelsea on Friday at 8:00pm, with Chelsea looking to respond after being held to a draw by Hull City.  The match, alongside all Premier League matches, will air live on SS Premier League (DStv Ch. 203, GOtv Ch. 65). 

Saturday’s action begins with Tottenham hosting Aston Villa at 12:30pm. Spurs are still searching for their first league win after another goalless draw with Everton and will look to respond after the midweek 1-3  Carabao Cup loss to Liverpool. Villa, meanwhile, lost 2-1 to Nottingham Forest in their last league outing before a 3-1 Carabao Cup win over Coventry. 

At 3:00pm, Brighton welcome Arsenal, who have won all four league matches so far. Brighton arrive in strong form after a 5-0 league win over Coventry and a 3-2 Carabao Cup victory over Man United.

Nottingham Forest face Coventry at 5:30pm, with Forest looking to build on their 2-1 win over Villa. Coventry will be seeking a response after defeats to Brighton and Villa in their last two matches. 

Sunday’s action starts at 2:00pm as Bournemouth host Liverpool. Liverpool were held to a goalless draw by Fulham last weekend but beat Tottenham 3-1 in the Carabao Cup, while Bournemouth drew 2-2 with Brentford before beating Lincoln City 4-0 in the Carabao cup.

Man City host Sunderland at 2:00pm, looking to maintain their perfect league start after a 1-0 derby win over Man United. The match will air live on SS Football (DStv Ch. 205, GOtv Ch. 61). Sunderland, meanwhile, lost 2-0 to Arsenal before beating Hull City 1-0 in the Carabao Cup.

The weekend concludes at 4:30pm as Fulham host Man United. United will be looking for a response after their derby defeat, but their midweek Carabao Cup exit adds further pressure after they surrendered a 2-0 lead and eventually lost 3-2 to Brighton.
