Aftermath of Roma win over AC Milan:
Pioli receives flanks from Milan fans for Chukwueze's few minutes

AC Milan manager, Pioli easily was the scapegoat in the team's Europa League defeat to Roma.

AC Milan headed into the Europa League clash against Roma with a lot of confidence. However, this didn’t quite show on the pitch as some of it's top stars failed on the night.

With the game nearing the end, Stefanio Pioli introduced Samuel Chukwueze and the tempo changed but it was too late to salvage anything.

Top marksman, Raphael Leao struggled to complete a successful dribble or a shot on target. He was arguably the worst player for the Rossoneri. Ismael Bennacer and Tijjani Reijnders also struggled to provide key passes.

These factors couple with a horrendous performance by Giroud were responsible for Milan's defeat.

And the fans, while dissecting the game, believe Pioli got it all wrong introducing Chukwueze late in the game.

"Chukwueze, who has been in really good form as of late, was left on the bench and it was evident how useful he could’ve been in the tight spaces if he had more time to work with.

"Yacine Adli was also left on the bench for too long, as he’s arguably the midfield with the best vision and passing range out of the bunch," said some of the fans on the club's website.
