4x4: Gusau's supporters intensify lobby 

... Set up team to enlist regional FAs to back reelection

 As the September 26 Elective Congress of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) gradually approaches, www.sportsunlimited. ng  can authoritatively revealed that some Congressman and stakeholders believe to be Gusau's supporters are conversing for the the re- election of the incumbent President of the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau by allegedly coaxing states FA chairmen's to sign endorsement document.

 It was reliably gathered that these men are traversing the country to get the states FA chairmen to sign a prepared document endorsing the candidacy of Gusau.

A source in the federation hinted that during Gusau's recent visit to the Governor of Niger State, Umaru Mohammed Bago, Gusau was said to have solicited support from the governor about his re- election bid and to intimate the government, the reason for it's plan to drop Ahmed Yusuf (Fresh) as Chairman of Chairman and board member of the Nigeria Football Federation. This however could not confirmed or verified.

However , a member of the Gusau's entourage to the Niger State governor was said to have boasted to the Governor that they  have overwhelming support from more than 21 state FA's chairmen that have endorsed Gusau's candidacy.

 We also gathered that the Gusau camp have finalized arrangement for Borno FA chairman, Babagana Kalli, who has been a board member since 2019 , and who's younger brother, Mohammed kalli Kachala is the second assistant coach of the U-17, to replace Ahmed Yusuf (Fresh) as Chairman of Chairmen.

But a Congressman and very a influential stakeholder, name withheld, told sportsunlimited.ng that it's not true, that FA chairmen's are being coax to endorse the candidacy of Alhaji Gusau. He, however, confirmed that Babagana Kalli has been pencilled for the position of Chairman of Chairmen.

Meanwhile, the North Central FA chairmen were said to have endorsed Alhaji Gusau's candidacy at a recent meeting held in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.

The tenure of the present Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will expire in September 30th.
