3 governors, Shaibu, other top dignatories honour Amaju as daughter weds in Warri

The Director-General/CEO of the National Institute for Sports (NIS), H.E. Comrade Philip Shaibu, was among the distinguished personalities who attended the church wedding of Miss Olayemi Pinnick and Mr. Oduwa Ashley Bazuaye, held at the First Baptist Church, Warri, Delta State.

Olayemi is the daughter of former President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Melvin Pinnick, making the ceremony a gathering of key figures from Nigeria’s political and sporting circles.

Shaibu’s presence at the event shows his continued influence and strong ties within both the political and sports communities. As DG/CEO of NIS, his attendance also reflected the close relationship between sports administration and national leadership.

The wedding attracted several high-profile dignitaries, including the Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri, who served as Chairman of the reception, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, NFF President Ibrahim Gusau, and former Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, among others.

In his remarks, Governor Diri advised the couple to embrace love and understanding as the foundation of their union, noting that marriage is a lifelong journey shaped by personal experiences.

Shaibu was joined at the ceremony by other notable personalities, as guests gathered to celebrate the union in an atmosphere of joy, unity, and goodwill.
