2026 Game Changer Unity Cup football tournament on Sunday, set the 'stadium of light' within Covenant Garden Estate, Apo Duste in Abuja

In the final match saw Tyre Plaza FC lost Mgbuka FC of apo 0-1 in the final match .

Third place team , NATA FC

16 teams participated for the 2026 first edition of the 2026 Game Changer Unity Cup football tournament in Abuja.

Speaking after the tournament, Onyeka Eze, the chairman of the Abuja automobile spare parts association dealers , today is the final match of the game changer unity cup. this is the end of the tournament.and by the way we thank God for today that everything was successful . this football is

to unite Apo and you see this man here is my friend brother, so he tried a lot in this

tournament ,since two months plus that we have been battling in this tournament but we made it it's come to the end today and everybody is happy all the whole apo is happy and we also that goes the ball I myself became change I'm very happy and I'm happy with this young man here is a nice person this is the chairman of water FC and again is a very nice person and he is the person that is telling me that

football is good but I know football is money but today I can see that the whole moneythat i spent with the happiness i have already forgotten the money because football is for

play. so thank God for everything today i thank everybody here by supporting us i thank the whole

apo by supporting us or anyhow you supported us both prayer both coming to watch our ballboth finances, God will reward you in Jesus' name.

Game Changer is a person that really loves grassroot football.

But he put me in because he believes I have a grassroot structure

that can take this competition to the next level.

And it's not me. I'm nothing.

Without you brothers and sisters, I'm nothing.

And we will not forget what we are trying to do in Nigeria about grassroots development.

You can see a lot of things that happen.

We have like how many thousands of crowds and they are happy and everything here.

And also, I really use this medium to appreciate our Amag shaman, Mr. Philip Mikelango, for coming out with proof of, you see, from starting to the end.

And he really, really make a lot of promise that he want this thing to continue like that, that every part of Abuja is not only Amag.

You know, we have many local government shaman, we have a councillor, we have many dignities here.

They want this thing to continue like that, that it will be a form of impact to empower youth in the way of development, in the way of developing them through football.

Chukwujekwu Nwanze , the captain of Mgbuka FC of apo , a fantastic end to the tournament and Anything about football, in the final if you win the cup , I am very happy and for even the officiating all went well and all the fans all went well. What makes my team stood up against others players in this tournament is because we are training and with our players, from the beginning of the tournament from the ball possession we have been doing well together and as a players we training together and we have a quality players . It’s a good tournament in general , thanks to the oraganizer

Captain of Tyre plaza FC, Ugochukwu Elekwachi, Actually, let me call it the game we were so important. My team. We played very well. We didn't have that luck today. The competition was wonderful, and I also pray that a competition like this will come up next time. It was a very good game. For me and my team, I believe we will plan ahead. We are not giving up and by next season when the season comes stronger. We will come out very strong in the next edition. In this very competition, we played unbeaten until today that we lost the match. For me, grassroots this has been the best and we pray that this type of competition should come up next season.
